little studded boots for little tiny feet

My new shoes from Pretty Small Shoes arrived today!

Here I am in the ol’ office (how glam!)…

I love the studded boots – all size 2 of them! They fit perfectly and seem very comfortable… well, from wearing them while sitting down! I will take them out for their first outing on Friday.

The jumper I’m wearing is from Topshop (Unique). Spotted it in town one day but they didn’t have my size left, so bought it on eBay the min I got home, arrived in the post yesterday.

Reminds me of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air… 90′s revival!

I absolutely LOVE this.

The piercing, the jewellery – everything.

Wonder where is good for piercings in London? And where o’ where could you get an amazing nose ring like that?!

Tempted. Very tempted!

Had my nose pierced before but let it close up… just a stud tho’ – which I really don’t like, much prefer rings. My last one was horrendous – placement was completely off! Still have a teeny scar from it now, looks like a freckle!

Love septum piercings tho’.

I like that piercings don’t have to be permanent. I think three tattoos is enough for now, so perhaps this is a good option.

…or maybe I’m just bored. Sure we shall see!

Sod the January blues.

I decided to try to be somewhat good this month and not go out every weekend… so instead I decided to shop with the money I would save from a night out.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

New year, new wardrobe… or at least some new additions.

I got this jacket type thing (below) in River Island, £40 – one of those purchases that is an acquired taste! I know the printed, bold pattern isn’t for everyone – but I liked it the minute I spotted it. It is nice and fitted but also looks like a sports top… Also I am a big fan of tigers!

I really love crosses on jewellery (£8) and – hey, I guess this hat (£13) will come in handy for St. Patrick’s day!

Took a little wander to Penneys… which is Primark over here! I love anything with skulls, went through a bit of a phase in university of buying everything and anything decorated with skulls, boots, tops, earrings… some things never change!

You can’t go wrong with Topshop but after seeing jumpers in Primark for £12 everything seemed so expensive! Saw a gorg fox jumper in the sale but had to tell myself that I have enough bloody jumpers by now! Plus I have my little DIY jumper job to complete too…

Got a twisty/bendy type hairband for £1.50 (blue/turquoise one below) and a moustache necklace (£8.50) !!

Love! Movember comes early!

I was browsing Urban Outfitters site the other day and came across this absolute beaut (below) by Bitching & Junkfood … Pimped out Aran jumper! It was reduced from £150 to £70… still quite pricey I thought… I put it in my basket… thought some more… *stop thinking so much!* and well… too much thinking… ’you snooze you lose’ as they say! It sold out.

And now I wish I bought it!

But it got me thinking – I might go to Primark and get a plain jumper, getting out the needle and thread and trying funk it out myself. Now it may not turn out *ahem* exactly like the one below… but we shall see!

Bought these bad boys from Pretty Small Shoes the other day (got them in size 2 – yay)

I barely ever wear heels – partly because adult shoes never fit my mini feet (size 1-2 depending on brand) unless I wear ten pairs of socks.

Treated myself to these boots for when I need to wear something nicer than my usual ‘builder boots’ … as my mum likes to call them.

Beats by Dr. Dre have got a make over and have been ‘de La Renta-fied’

Back in October I bought myself a pair of Solo Beats by Dr. Dre and have to say they are amazing. The sound from them is unbelievable. They really make a huge difference to the listening experience and look good too!

Unfortunately I won’t be buying a new pair as Oscars creations are decorated in fox fur… but if they ever roll out a faux fur equivalent then I will be jumping all over that bandwagon.

lana del rey signs with next models

I love Lana Del Rey.

Blue Jeans, Video Games and Off to the Races* are on repeat on my iPhone. I cannot wait for her album Born to Die to be released (27th of Jan).

Lana has a real nostalgic vibe to her music and has an air of that classic Marilyn Monroe-esque beauty to her. I have heard some negative comments about her look - her full pout and fake nails aren’t to everyone’s taste it would seem. Lana told Wonderland magazine that negative comments about her looks upset her and that she didn’t think she would be under as much scrutiny if she was a man.

I think she is absolutely gorgeous… and Next Models seem to agree as they have signed her!

This move sees her following in the steps of Alexa Chung and Jessie J who are already signed with the agency.

I would chew off my arm to look like her… although, a half bitten limb may not be the look to aim for!

Looking at these beautiful pictures it is very clear what Next Models must see in her.

stressed, depressed… but well dressed!

Christmas is over, New Year’s Eve is a distant memory and I am back in London… back to work. No more sleeping until lunchtime and eating all around me.

Back to reality with a bang.

I had a lovely 12 days at home in Ireland and am finding it hard to adjust to normal life. Work have nicely let us start at the later time of 9.30am (instead of 8.45am) and finish at 5.30pm (instead of 6pm). Even so, the wet mornings and torrential wind make it hard to leave my apartment and trek to the office.

In my blogpost from the same time last year I decided to take up piano lessons (which I did) as I finished the brekkie show at 2pm ish so wanted something to do in the afternoon (besides sleep!)… I had also only just got an iPhone – now I don’t know how I did without one for so long. Quite a lot has changed since that blogpost. I no longer work in Today FM (sob!) or live in Dublin and am now in London (yay!).

Where will I be this time next year?
