i’m a wonder woman – pow pow

Wonder Woman is fronting MAC’s new collection.

Due to hit stores from March (as in next week!) Huzzah!

I am a little bit in love with the design and packaging.

Always a sucker for anything pop-arty and bright.

I love the blue brushes too! Have to say I absolutely love how MAC market their products.

I already want all of the above (although my bank balance may disagree)…

I just want to have a red lippy with Wonder Woman written on the outside – beats the usual black package.

Plus it will obviously mean I am a fully fledge super hero. FACT.

Also love the felt eye liner thingy – looks a bit like a magic marker!

t minus four days

So the ol’ tattoo item is booked, deposit paid, designed picked!

Getting it done next Wednesday at 3pm. They’ve booked me in for a two hour slot - eep(!) seems long! My other two tattoos probably only took about 20/30 mins each.

I’ve been thinking about getting a new tattoo for aaaages but couldn’t decide what I wanted or where I wanted it. But finally (at last!) I have picked out my design (a pink lily) and decided where to get it (my leg…well thigh area to be specific). Unlike my other tats I’ve decided to go a bit bigger with this one – kinda like the size of a rose head (I am really bad at explaining sizes… but it’s not gonna be a little one this time!).

I don’t have the design uploaded yet but I will post the pics when I get it done! In the meantime here are some fab designs I found while trying to find what I wanted…

Also sorry for the serious lack of blog posts lately – silly work has me wrecked at the min! Will be back to regular posting asap :)

Love these images!

Lately all my money is going on MAC and Illamasqua – love the intensity you can get with Illamasqua products.

Also love false lashes on the lower lash line – wore them around town one day after my friend did my make-up… the people working on make-up stands liked it… but one of my friends said it looked like my mascara had run and I was crying! Ha. Maybe a look better saved for fancy dress!

lipstick on your collar

My latest obsession is red lips.

Nom.

I’ve been using a Chanel red lipstick (think it’s called Allure Rogue) coupled with a deep berry gloss by Bobbi Brown to soften the look.

Anyhoo take a look at ELLE’s breakdown of the best red lippies – M.A.C’s Ruby Woo is at number one!

Extreme sheep art?

I’m all for curves… but skinny is good too

V Magazine’s Size Issue will hit news stands on January 14.

Now I’m all for a variety of sized models in art and photography… but I have to admit that I like my fashion models on the skinny side. There! I said it – don’t throw stones at me!

And that’s not to say I don’t like plus sized models I just don’t think it’s fair to criticise slimmer models either.  It seems that almost anything can be said against skinny models but say one ‘un-PC’ remark about a larger model and you’re deemed the worlds worst!

Now I don’t mean there’s anything to be applauded about anorexically skinny models with ribs and bones poking through their skin. I certainly think all models should look (and be) healthy – and healthy is not overweight or underweight.

Afterall no matter what your weight if you’re healthy you will look good and that should be all that matters.

I normally doodle cats on everything… Yes I sound like a crazy cat lady.

I’m trying to spend less time drawing cats lately tho’… I found some old college notes the other day and the amounts of doodles were shocking! How did I manage to learn anything in class?! Pages and pages of drawings… On top of all that I have about a million (slight exaggeration!) sketch books filled with… well… mainly cats, ha…

I miss art class – not that I was particularly good at it… but it was fun!

I’ve kinda got sheep on the brain lately! I don’t know why… Anyhoo for animation class I’m making a stop-go project about a little black sheep so I’ve been sketching random sheep lately (even tho’ the animation will be in clay so my sketches are kinda pointless). Hmm. Also trying to get to grips with Photoshop CS3. I reeeeeaaallllyyy want to get Adobe Illustrator but pricey pricey. So I did these little sketches as part of my Photoshop practice (I’m pretty sure this type of thing should be done in illustrator but… meh!)

I really like these! Especially the last two images… if you look closely at the last one you’ll see the bunnies seem drunk (the design is aptly title ‘vodka bunnies’) great! Also the one of the deer is cute – they look like they’re wearing pyjamas!
