…and so the lion fell in love with the lamb [spirit hoods]

7 Nov

…Well leopard if we’re getting into the finer details!

My Spirit Hood arrived! Huzzah! I blogged a while ago about ordering  my leopard spirit hood – of course not thinking things thru’ I got it delivered to my Waterford home instead of Dublin so ending up sans hood for a few weeks!

Got it sent up last Thursday and have been living in it ever since!

It is without a doubt my favourite thing right not! So cosy – and it has little glovey paws too! EEP.

Tho’ I do get the odd person miaowing at me in the streets…

what would grace do?

19 Oct

Yes, Grace Woodward.

She’s nice isn’t she?!

Although her nerdy glasses are HUGE. I bought a pair way back last year in Topshop. I love geek chic! Although I have yet to wear them in public… I want to… but… but… well, I think I look silly! Maybe I need smaller ones? Hmm. Anyhoo I shall be wearing them for one of my Halloweeny outfits – cannot.wait!

This is of course not my Halloween outfit but rather my new leopard print pants that I bought in Topshop! I just threw in the glasses cuz I felt sorry for them never having seen the light of day!… and technically they don’t here either as it’s night… sorry glasses.

… And without the ol’ glasses:

The deets:

Blazer: Topshop

Black Bodysuit: Topshop

Glasses: Topshop

Leopard pants: eh… Topshop again

Earrings: yes … Topshop

Shoes: Pretty Small Shoes (Take that Topshop!)

Wow… I really need to stop buying ALL my clothes in Topshop!

top o’ the shops

12 Oct

Topshop you are too good to me. Or maybe I’m too good to you seeing as you take all my money.

I also bought some very… strange … trouser shaped items. Not sure what I make of them but I was in panic buy mode!

I have to say I love the shoes (of course I will have to stick at least two pairs of insoles in them!) – intend to wear them to work on those dressy days! All in all not much happening in Topshop at the moment – normally I have to drag myself away from buying more… not today tho’, just the above and off I went.

Hmm, maybe I’m getting better willpower… or else Topshop haven’t really delivered on the A/W collection yet.

we are all illuminated lights are shining on our faces

Downloaded some tracks from the new Hurts album today… very good I must say! Esp. tracks 1 and 6… I sense a new fave band. Quite an 80′s vibe to it (which surprisingly for me is not off-putting as I am a freak who hates most 80′s music)… they remind me  slightly of Depeche Mode!

Anyhoo… lusting after these items from Asos at the mo. Spent all my moolah at the weekend so will have to wait till my birthday next weekend before I have any money!

I want everything! But my absolute fave is the owl cardy!

I think the models look fab – afro and nerdy glasses… Amazing!!!

Beside Tom McGurk in work.

Ah, the one day I don’t wear heels. Who am I kidding?! At 4 foot 11 I am always mini… or fun-sized as I prefer :)

curb your enthusiasm

20 Feb

I’ve been trying to curb my spending a bit lately (not going too well!) but a nice little package arrived at home for me with these lovely items that I ordered a few weeks ago.

All from Topshop

I’m really loving all the nudes in stores lately!

I have to say Topshop online has some really unflattering picture. They never do the products justice. Often I’ll see something nice in the shop and then order online if they don’t have my size in store. I tried on the shorts in picture 2 but Topshop didn’t have my size… now, the shorts are really pretty.high-waisted/skirt-like in real life… but just look a little bland and flat in that picture!

ASOS on the other hand have a really good online section (in terms of picture representation) I think this is because ASOS use models whereas Topshop merely takes stills of their clothes making it hard to get a feel for the items…

girl crush: erin wagner

Erin Wagner from America’s Next Top Model cycle 13… aka the petite cycle!

Although the term ‘petite’ is debatable – all the models must be under 5″7 to compete. ‘Petite’ is generally regarded as under 5″3 but I guess this isn’t the case in the ‘model world’.

I’m only 5… well 4″11… shh!

I think Erin (5″6) is stunningly beautiful. I now want to dye my hair her icelandic shade of blonde…

I want to be her!

This is what she looked like pre -Tyra makeover:

I love my tiny shoes!

I got these (in size 1) from Pretty Small Shoes before Christmas but still haven’t worn them yet. Except when tidying my room – well I was ‘breaking’ them in…

So this weekend I plan on wearing them with every outfit.

I quite like the spotty tights with them too – reminds me of a ladybird!

I can’t say enough good things about Pretty Small Shoes – great delivery service (but expect to wait 14+ days) and a beautiful selection of petite shoes. To top it all off the shoes that I already have from them are the most comfortable heels I own. When I wear them I can actually make it through the entire night without having to reach for my trusty flats. This says a lot because I cannot stand to have sore feet so often whip out the flats early in the night!

Now I’m sure some people would say that the delivery takes too long to be classed as ‘great’ but my main concern with delivery is that my order actually arrives and is in perfect condition. In the past I have ordered from different sites only to have my order ‘returned’ as it wasn’t delivered correctly. Or have received damaged goods. This has never been the case with Pretty Small Shoes. Plus they ring a few days in advance so you know exactly when to expect your delivery.

Pretty Small Shoes specifically cater for shoes sizes 13-3. Shoes in these sizes can be near impossible to find on the high street. I often buy size 3 shoes and bulk them up with insoles and tights but nothing beats correctly fitting shoes.

The shoes on Pretty Small Shoes are certainly not cheap (most are over £100) but I’m just happy that I can finally buy gorgeous, comfortable heels for my mini feet!

Oh So Pretty

Got some very nice things in town today. Have to say River Island has some gorgeous cardies/hats/shoes at the mo. Was never that big a fan of RI but lately I have to say I love it!

teddyhatI adore this teddy hat! It is so cute on. I have a slight hat obsession so this will go down nicely as a winter staple.

Also these beuts arrived from ASOS this morning. Good shopping day!

Mini Feet

15 Sep

I have tiny feet. I’m a UK 13-1… yes 13-1. Kiddy size! I round it up and go for size 1… when ever I find a shoe in such a miniscule size. Teeny feet make finding any sort of going-out shoes almost impossible to come by.  Now boots aren’t a problem (layers of socks do the job!) but pretty little stilettos and the likes always fall off.  In general it is easier to get designer shoes (Jimmy Choo etc) in smaller sizes but spending over E500  every time you want a new pair of shoes can really burn a hole in the ol’ pocket. Barratts do a good Tall/Small range – tho’ I have to say they aren’t the most comfortable.

Soooo I was only delighted when I came across pretty-small-shoes.com!

They cater for UK sizes 13-3, EU 32-35 and have gorgeous shoes. The general price range is £70-£199.

LoulouopentoeSplendour_small-Wedding-shoes220CinderellaI’m currently looking for shoes to wear to my Graduation so am definitely gonna get them from this site… but I just can’t decide what to go for. One thing that I am certainly buying are the gold shoe-boots below!

I love them… tac-tastic I say!

FrenchKiss_siver_n_gold220They actually remind me of these [below] Louboutin boots I saw on net-a-porter…
