“Hello is that Kellebelle?”
“Em… yes”
“This is Brian from the Garda station”
*panic* what did I do?!
“Oh hi!” … like we speak every day
*that’s it I’m going to be arrested*
“Kellebelle [said in typical Cork Garda accent] we have had some clothes of yours dropped in to us in the station”
*silence* huh?!
“…somebody with broken English handed in an ASOS bag with your name on it”
“Oh… that’s odd”
“If you want to collect it anytime before two o’ clock”
“…Ok thanks”
*hangs up*
What just happened????
Right…. So my ASOS delivery which I ordered by courier as I needed it ASAP was not only verrrry late (this was Monday – it was meant to arrive by Thursday)… but it somehow ended up in the Garda station!?! Gah. The package had my number on it so there was no way the courier could have got lost finding my house…
My dad collected the package as I was in Dublin – it was open and my dress had been taken out too … and smelled like smoke!
*gross*
So very confused (and fairly pissed off!) I rang the courier and turns out they lost my package en route to my house… Yes – just lost it.
The delivery somehow ended up with someone else – they don’t know who. I
don’t know why the parcel was opened and not just returned to the courier … but I suppose they could have just thrown it out. Kinda gross that it smells tho’ – wouldn’t wear that!
I contacted ASOS who immediately sent me out a replacement – which didn’t end up with the Gadai this time and they gave me a 20% discount code which was pretty good.
I seem to constantly have problems with these couriers tho’! Several times they have just left packages by my gate or in my car!!! Yes one time I must have left my car unlocked (why they thought to try open it I don’t know!) and they popped the package in the back seat! They never ring or leave notes if I’m not there and I’ve had parcels sent back (which I’ve had to reorder!) The whole point of ordering courier is to get it to your house quicker and safer than regular post!
