i heart hermes

I am so in lust with my Hermès scarf that I gave it a mini photo shoot.

That, and it was freezing outside, meant I had hours to pass!

Ever since I got into Mad Men last year I have had a thing for silk scarves. I have quite a collection in my drawers, from River Island to Asos to Tophop – I haven’t ventured far from the high street due to 1.) not owning a money tree and 2.) spending most of my money on numerous little scarves instead of saving to get a pricier one.

I was delighted when I got a present of this beautiful Hermès scarf with beautiful animal patterns. The quality and touch of the scarf is amazing and makes any outfit that little bit more *magical*

Back from Austria as of yesterday… dead now, have a full on cold item so downing tea like I do tequila shots at the weekends *shudder*

I managed to do one (yes only one!) ski lesson… I am a life fail!

But in my defence it was a work trip so any spare time was spent… well… there wasn’t much spare time really…! And when there was I faffed around the place drinking hot chocolate with rum (magic).

Hopefully I’ll manage to go on a proper ski hol someday and go for proper lessons… without tumbling down the mountain top. Eeep.

In the meantime while my brain slash life recovers from lack of sleep etc here are some non-snow related photos…

Mad Men = WOW.

I have been behind with the times! I have just started watching Mad Men (just finished series 1!) it’s amazing. I had heard lots of reviews about the show but I never seemed to see it on TV… so as usual (I don’t watch much TV on telly!) I have  been watching it online. Tho’ damn Megavideo loves to make me wait ages after I have reached my daily quota!

I have a new-found obsession with all things 60s.

I wish we had that glamour in our daily lives – all the girls look so fab and feminine all the time. Although thank God women aren’t treated as much like second-best to men any more.

I have to say I am slightly jealous of the girls curves when watching Mad Men!

Maybe it’s just me but I feel better having popcorn and scoffing some chocolate when watching Mad Men as opposed to Gossip Girl which quite frankly makes me want to immediately do 100 sit-ups.

I am in love with the wonderfully, beautiful January Jones who plays Bett Draper…

… and some photos of January not in character – she can do no wrong in my eyes!

Which styling do you guys prefer? The 60s vibe or the more ‘modern’ noughties twist?? Although most of the latter are just her in her underwear!

I went to my cousin’s wedding on Sunday. Actually the first wedding I’ve ever been to, eep! It was on in the beautiful Cabra Castle in Cavan – great spot! There was a ma-hoo-sive Irish Wolfhound running around the place too… kinda made my day! I do luff the dogs…

Woof.

But less about the dog more about the clothes!

Always at this time of year I get the urge to panic book a winter sun holiday! The thoughts of not feeling the sun on my skin for another year makes me jittery!

Just bought the above necklaces from this Etsy store after A Chick Named Hermia brought it to my attention!

I got a bit frazzled when I logged on to Etsy as most of the items only had one in stock – panic purchasing!

Not too pricey either – €42 in total including delivery from the US.

As you can probably tell I like Bambi!

It lets you unleash your inner stylist by creating  fashion sets, mixing and matching images. So cool. You can also look at other members sets and get some inspiration.  Information on where to purchase and prices are all included too. I can just imagine myself spending hours of this site!
