Glad you enjoy the blog!
hi I want to purchase the ‘ruffle hem black bandeau cocktail dress’ How do I go about this?
Hi! It’s from http://www.asos.com/Woman/ It’s from their 2009 collection so not sure if that exact one is still there but I’m sure they’d have something similiar.
Good luck! x
I am working On a writing assignment for my history in photography I have to pick a photographer that I like or the work an write a paper an I picked you so I was wondering if i could know a little bit about what you do as well as the style of art that you have created as the artist that you are today.
Hi Amy – I’m not really a photographer, tis more of a hobby for me really! A lot of the photos on the blog are from other sources – tumblr etc. If you want more details on anything email email@example.com
Great blog – and congratulations on the new job! I just finished my finals in Trinity and will (hopefully) be studying in DCU come September (an MA in International Journalism). I’m subscribing to your blog and looking forward to reading more of your posts! Danielle 🙂
Hey Kel, loving the blog! Hope you’re well over there. I was in Newtown at the weekend, very nostalgic!!
Love if you could follow my blog.
I was looking up places that offer balayage, and your blog came up. I looked at the Style Club website which you recommended, but they have no email or price list — do you maybe remember how much it costs roughly? I’m shopping around at the moment! Also, did you ever make it to Pimps and Pinups? Are they good?
Thanks for the comment!
Roughly it was about €120 ish in Style Club for balayage, colour and cut. I can’t remember exact price so it could have been slightly more/less but it was around that price range. When I lived in Dublin Style Club often had discount days, I just looked at their website now and they seem to have a 20% offer at the moment! You can ring their South William Street branch on this number: (01) 472 24 44
Where are you based? Pimps and Pin Ups are based in London near Liverpool street so if you are based in Ireland it may be too far! They are fantastic though! I have some details and pictures here: https://blinkandyoullmiss.com/2012/08/17/gold-birds/ and also here: https://blinkandyoullmiss.com/2012/08/14/farewell-trusty-shades/
Hope that helps!
I’m actually based in Athens for the next 10 months or so, but was in London before that, and will be in both London and Dublin this year. Which one would you recommend as better? I’m looking for something more subtle than what you had done at P&P — more of the sun-kissed natural look.
Thanks again for the advice!
Before my current dip dye look I went to both Style Club and P&P for a more subtle sun kissed style of balayage. I liked them both to be honest but Pimps & Pin-Ups is my favourite as I feel they listen more to what I want and explain everything to me. They are all also super talented at what they do. The atmosphere in there is very friendly and relaxed.
Rachel does my hair at P&P and every time she always tells me to check it out when I go home and call if I have any problems or want it darker/lighter. She is so lovely that you don’t feel awkward if it’s not what you had in mind. With P&P I wanted my hair super blonde and felt it wasn’t quite as blonde as I wanted so rang up Rachel and she redid it for free and was lovely about it!
I once wasn’t happy with my hair at Style Club, when I went back they weren’t very happy that I wasn’t happy and made me feel really awkward! Didn’t charge for colour but charged for wash and blow-dry.
All in all, I think both offer good services but Pimps and Pin-ups in my opinion is the better of the two.
Hello! I was thinking of getting ombre-d next month and after digging around on google for recommendations I came across your blog! Your hair looks great and I think I may pay Rachel at P&P a visit. Can I ask how much roughly she charges? Also are her cuts any good? Thanks! Kiri x
Thanks for the comment! I have written a blogpost about Pimps & Pinups which should help 🙂 I go to Rachel for colour and cuts, she’s great at both.
Your eyebrows are perfect! Where do you get them done?
